Sobhy El Sehrawy
Head of Investment Banking
Mr. Sobhy El Sehrawy enjoyed an extensive investment, finance, and corporate banking career before joining Beltone Financial as Head of Investment Banking.
Prior to this, he was Head of Principal Investments at NI Capital and Chief Investment Officer of Al Ahli Capital Holding Company. He also served on the Board of Directors of many investee companies, with the aim of maximizing their values. He held the post of Senior Vice President and Board Director of Egypt Kuwait Holding Company — a part of Al Kharafi Group of Kuwait and served as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of one of the Group’s affiliates incorporated in Kuwait, investing in various sectors. Throughout his career, he participated in numerous acquisitions, divestitures, debt raisings as well as greenfield projects in industries such as fertilizers, petrochemicals, glass manufacturing, natural gas distribution, and general and life insurance. Mr. Abo-Taleb has been Director within the Beltone Investment Banking team since June 2017. He enjoys more than 10 years of advisory and investment experience.
Prior to joining Beltone, he spent almost two years at SODIC, Egypt; a leading real estate developer, heading the Financial Planning and Investment Department and responsible for executing the company’s growth strategy in the Egyptian market. Prior to joining SODIC, he spent almost 6 years at Beltone Investment Banking and 2 years at CI Capital Holding, the Investment Banking arm of CIB; Egypt’s leading commercial bank. Throughout his career, he has participated in a number of notable M&A and capital market transactions including Qena Cement leveraged buyout of ASEC Cement, the IPO of Orascom Development Holding, the sale of Nakhla Tobacco Group to JTI and the IPO of Amer Group. Mr. Abo-Taleb holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Cairo University and a Masters in Finance from the American University in Cairo.
Tarek Khater, CFA
Mr. Tarek Khater joined Beltone Investment Banking in September 2014 where he has since been involved in several M&A and capital market transactions. He also has international exposure, having worked at J.P. Morgan, London as part of the EMEA Healthcare and Consumer Retail coverage team. Mr. Khater has three years of commercial banking experience working for HSBC in Cairo, holding various positions there, including Relationship Manager in the Corporate Banking department where he managed a portfolio of oil and gas companies, and Officer at the Wealth Management department. His transaction experience includes Beltone Financial’s acquisition of Auerbach Grayson, a New York based financial services Firm, sale of 100% of shares of Al Shorouk Hospital to Cleopatra Hospital Company, an indirect subsidiary of Abraaj Group in addition to a capital increase and secondary share sale of Ibnsina Pharma to the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development. Mr. Khater holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Economics from Cairo University and a Masters in Investment and Risk Finance from the University of Westminster in London. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Nagla El Gazzar, CFA
Ms. Nagla El Gazzar has 10 years of diversified experience in the financial field. Prior to joining Beltone Investment Banking in September of 2016, she was Deputy Manager at the Egyptian Stock Exchange, heading Members’ Registration. She was also a member of the Corporate Banking Team at Qatar National Bank (formerly NSGB) where she worked as part of the Corporate Relationship Unit and Structured Finance Unit, with extensive work on project and acquisition finance. Prior to that, Ms. El Gazzar spent four years at Okaz Stock Brokers where she headed the Research Department covering several industries, with a focus on telecommunications and cement. Mohamed El Akhdar
Mr. Mohamed El Akhdar is a Managing Director within the Beltone Investment Banking team where he provides advisory services for a full range of transactions, including mergers, sales, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs, divestitures, and other restructurings. He brings over 10 years of experience across various industries including healthcare, energy, transportation, construction and building materials, consumer products, financial services, oil and gas, and telecom. Prior to joining Beltone, he spent over six years as a strategy consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington D.C. where he led client engagement activities advising governments and major corporations on strategic transformation initiatives worldwide. In 2011, he relocated to Abu Dhabi, UAE to help rebuild Booz Allen’s international operations in the Middle East. Mr. El Akhdar holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from The American University in Cairo and a Masters in finance, summa cum laude, from the George Washington University School of Business. Mr. Omar Gaafar has been Associate Director within the Beltone Investment Banking team since July 2017.
He joined Beltone with extensive experience in investment banking, having been with ADIB Capital since 2014 in the capacity of Vice President, in addition to CI Capital Investment Banking, where he spent seven years. His experience spans several industries including real estate, construction, consumer goods, hospitality and healthcare. He has participated in various transactions most notably OCI N.Vs Mandatory tender offer for 100% shares of OCI Egypt. Mr. Gaafar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of Southampton, UK
Mahmoud El Said
Mr. Mahmoud El Said joined Beltone Investment Banking in January 2015, currently holding the post of Associate within the Investment Banking team. Mr. El Said has been closely involved in both M&A and capital market transactions across various sectors during his time at Beltone Financial, including banking and financial services, oil and gas, industrial materials, consumer goods, packaging, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and telecommunication. Mr. El Said graduated with honors from The American University of Paris, completing a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in International Finance and Entrepreneurship Management.Show More
Mr. Fady George joined Beltone Investment Banking in September 2017. Prior to joining Beltone, Fady interned and worked with John Carris Investments, Axonic Capital, Novahill Partners and Cerberus Capital. He also completed a Financial Analysis and Valuation Course at the Investment Banking Institute in New York and successfully passed the FINRA Series 7 & 63 licensing in 2012. Mr. George is a graduate of Ecole de Glion in Switzerland with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Revenue Management and both an MBA and an Honors Certificate in Development Economics & Trade Policy from Georgetown University in Washington DC.Show More
