Reham El Desoki

Ms. ElDesoki joined Beltone Financial's Research Department as the Senior Economist in November 2007.

Since joining Beltone Financial, Reham has led the Economics Team in initiating coverage on a number of economies in the MENA region, dealt with clients on reporting on and analysing economic developments in the region, and comminicates with media to increase the profile of Beltone Research as the main resource for economic information and analysis.

During her career, which started in 1993, Ms. ElDesoki worked at the Ministry of Trade and Industry as Assistant to the Minister of Trade and Industry on Industrial and Technical Assistance Issues. Prior to that she worked at EFG-Hermes as the North Africa Senior Economist. Reham was ranked first by the Euromoney, Middle East Survey on Economics coverage in 2006/2007 in a poll that was conducted in 2Q2007 in MENA, Europe and Asia comparing local, regional and international investment banks and research houses. She also headed the economics and trade affairs team at the US Embassy in Cairo where she dealt with different areas in the Egyptian and US Governments, in addition to businessmen, private sector and media entities. She was awarded several Meritorious Honor and Extra Mile awards by the US Ambassador and Economic Counselors.

Ms. ElDesoki has several years of experience in brokerage and investment firms, mainly in Research, and worked in banking for one year.

Ms. ElDesoki graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University, holding a B.A. in Economics. She pursued a Masters degree at the American University in Cairo.
