Yasmin Ibrahim Hassan

Ms. Ibrahim Hassan joined Beltone Private Equity in February 2008 as a Principal.

Prior to joining Beltone Private Equity, Ms. Ibrahim Hassan was a Vice President at EFG-Hermes Asset Management, where she spent six years managing funds and portfolios investing in the Middle East and Africa. She was the Portfolio Manager of the EFG-Hermes Telecom Fund, the first Telecommunication, Media and Technology fund in the Middle East, where she was responsible for analyzing the sector in the Middle East and Africa, acquiring investment committee approvals for potential investments, executing investment decisions and raising the Fund's size. She also launched and managed the first Islamic telecom fund in the Middle East in cooperation with Al Tawfeek, a subsidiary of Dallah El Baraka of Saudi Arabia. Total funds under her management reached USD 120 million in 2006.

During her last two years at EFG-Hermes, Ms. Ibrahim Hassan was involved in the division's product development, this included leading and participating in the launch of capital guaranteed, balanced and money market funds. She was also a member of the Investment Committee of the division's funds and portfolios investing in the Middle East and Africa.

Ms. Ibrahim Hassan holds an MBA from INSEAD University with a management and finance concentration. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Cairo University. In May 2000, she completed the Finance and Investment Appraisal Course at EFG-Hermes, based on the Chase Manhattan Credit and Investment Course.
