Omar Reda
Mr. Reda joined Beltone Financial's Investment Banking Division in December 2005.
Since joining Beltone, Mr. Reda has been closely involved in both M&A and Capital Markets transactions across numerous sectors, including agricultural, financial services, real estate and telecom. Notable transactions include advising on the sale of Al Sawani; advising Arab Bank on its proposed acquisition of Banque du Caire; and the IPO of four leading insurance companies in Saudi Arabia.
Prior to joining Beltone Financial, Mr. Reda spent two years in Mashreqbank in Dubai as Senior Relationship Manager where he managed a portfolio of large contracting and oil and gas companies. His mandate also included leading large corporate finance transactions in Mashreqbank's Contracting Division. During his two year tenure, Mr. Reda led two major corporate finance transactions for a regional oil and gas company in addition to leading the local portion for bridge finance of an acquisition in the petrochemical industry.
Prior to joining Mashreqbank, Mr. Reda spent eight years with Citigroup, of which the last two he spent in the Corporate Finance and Investment Banking Department where he was responsible for the origination and execution of corporate finance and investment banking solutions for Citigroup's top-tier clients. His responsibilities included leading teams of bankers, analysts and lawyers and working closely with regulatory and government bodies for the successful completion of transactions. As Senior Transactor, he executed the largest Egyptian international syndication for a leading public sector bank, the issuance of the first and largest true corporate bond in Egypt that was not guaranteed by a bank, as well as successfully completed other transactions in oil and gas and the food and beverages industries.
Prior to joining the Citigroup's investment banking team, Mr. Reda worked as Relationship Manager and Branch Credit Committee member in Citibank's Corporate Banking Group where he managed various portfolios of local and multinational companies. During this time, he spent six months on assignment in Citibank Amsterdam where he worked on two large international corporate finance transactions for two leading Dutch conglomerates.
