Mostafa El-Anwar

Mr. El-Anwar joined Beltone Private Equity in August 2008 as a Principal.

Mostafa El-Anwar started his investment management career in 2000 at EFG-Hermes. He was in charge of the fixed income and money market desk at EFG-Hermes Asset Management and was responsible for the cash management of all on-shore and off-shore funds managed by the firm. As Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Mostafa managed several accounts including equity, balanced and fixed income portfolios. He also covered the analysis of the Egyptian financial sector. In addition, El-Anwar was a member of the investment committee responsible for making all investment decisions in the Egyptian Capital Market.

Prior to joining Beltone Private Equity, El-Anwar was with Morgan Stanley in London, where he worked on a number of high profile investment banking assignments and advised clients across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) on mergers and acquisitions as well as equity capital market transactions.

Mostafa El-Anwar holds a BA in Accounting from Cairo University and an MBA, with a concentration in finance and private equity, from London Business School. He completed the Finance and Investment Appraisal Course at EFG-Hermes, based on the Chase Manhattan Credit Course.
