Amr Sultan, CFA

Mr. Amr Sultan joined Beltone Financial in May 2003 as the Head of the Equity Research Department where he initiated the company's research coverage of the Egyptian and Saudi stock markets.

In 2004, Mr. Sultan moved to the Investment Banking Division. Mr. Sultan closed transactions with a total value in excess of USD 6 billion. Mr. Sultan has worked on several equity capital markets transactions including the initial public offerings of Orascom Development Holding, GB Auto and Raya Holding. Mr. Sultan has worked on several M&A transactions including the merger of EAgrium and MOPCO, the acquisition of Orascom Hotels and Development by Orascom Development Holding, the acquisition of Al Borg Laboratories by Abraaj Capital and the sale of a stake in Vodafone Egypt by Celtel. Mr. Sultan has also participated in several advisory mandates including advising MTS on its bid for the third mobile license in Egypt. On the debt side, Mr. Sultan has structured a convertible loan for GB Auto and advised Al Nouran Holding on its long-term syndicated loan to finance its Greenfield sugar production facility.

Before joining Beltone Financial, Mr. Sultan was an Associate at HC Brokerage in the Equity Research Department where he developed extensive knowledge of the telecom market in the MENA region covering Orascom Telecom, MobiNil, Telecom Egypt, and Vodafone Egypt.
