Beltone Private Equity seeks both to rationalize and institutionalize private equity investment in Egypt and the MENA region by building a successful investment origination platform. This origination platform and the competitive advantage of local market presence and networks will allow us to see a wider range of investment opportunities than the typical private equity firm. The wide-ranging industry expertise of our professionals, diverse sourcing capabilities and corporate infrastructure are advantageous in completing direct and change of control investments. Our funds generally invest in private companies in Egypt and the Middle East, either as the sponsor of, or an investor in, change-of-control transactions. We also provide capital directly to private companies to finance their growth, acquisitions and recapitalizations absent a change of control. In each case, the total transaction size generally ranges from E£ 25 million to E£ 1 billion. Our funds invest in a wide variety of industry sectors, business situations and geographic locations. Investment teams work closely with each company to develop and implement strategies to increase the portfolio company's underlying value. The teams seek to rationalize the fragmented market in which we operate by taking an institutional approach to its investing activities through exceptional management supported by a fully-integrated organization. Access to these resources has enabled us to source a growing volume of investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, negotiate closing agreements, make disciplined investment decisions, monitor portfolio company performance, and manage the reporting and accounting requirements of portfolio companies.
